Epilogue

3 months later

"How do these look?" Philip called over to her, holding up a plastic wrapped package. She moved over to him, resting her head comfortably on his shoulder as she took a look at his find.

"Oh, those are wonderful." The dark purple sheets were the perfect shade to match the silver and black duvet they already had in the cart. Part of her still couldn't accept that it was real, but the two of them were out shopping to furnish the condo Philip had bought.

They were going to be living together shortly and she couldn't wait. Every moment apart from him was sheer agony, a sensation she never wanted to experience again. His presence calmed her down before setting her body on fire with desire.

One of the biggest surprises had been the way he had announced she was done working at the diner. Instead of simply quitting, he had bought the diner from Mia and her husband Doug for a sum of money that more than allowed them to retire. "You're still not going to tell me what's going on yet, are you?"

"I might dearest, I might."

"Well, perhaps you could tell me what color we're going to paint the guest bedroom."

Now she would definitely have to tell him. Angela didn't know if he had guessed, or was just simply going through a checklist.

"My mate, we don't have a guest room."

The confusion on his face indicated that perhaps he was still in the dark.

"Uhm, Angel, there most definitely was a second bedroom in the condo. We walked through it together."

"I know, but it's spoken for," she said, grasping his hand and putting it up to her stomach.

He looked at her oddly for a moment before his eyes grew wide with wonder.

"You mean?"

She nodded, glad to know he was happy. She had dreaded his reaction, not knowing how he would feel.

"I'm going to be a father?" If she looked hard enough, she thought she could perhaps see a little extra glistening in his eyes.

"Yes, my love, you are. I'm pregnant."

His growl echoed through the store, loud enough that everyone was looking over at them as he picked her up, spinning her around.

"I'm going to be a father!" he crowed, announcing the news to the entire store, much to her embarrassment. Shouts and congratulations came from all corners, showering the couple with encouragement.

She looked up at him once again, only to find him already staring back at her, his eyes filled with love.

He leaned towards her, his lips brushing against hers, completing their connection.
