She didn’t bother to pull her hair back before coming down this morning, and it’s all over the place and down her back. Just a few shades darker than honey, it hits her in the middle of her back, which is facing me as she makes her coffee.

She’s still wearing the soft pink tank she had on last night, but her legs and luscious ass are now covered in a pair of thin cotton pajama pants with pastel stripes. She turns with her coffee cup in her hand, cradled under her chin, blowing on it to cool it faster.

I stand across from her leaning on the opposite counter. I watch her eyes rake over my body. I’m shameless this morning and came down with no shirt on, my broad chest bare and loving the attention it’s getting from her eyes. I can’t keep my eyes off of her nipples which are practically visible in her thin shirt.

Perfect fucking tits
.

I clear my throat, and she snaps her eyes up to mine. “How’d you sleep?”
Do you know I was in the bed with you?

She grins at me. “Like a baby. Didn’t wake up once.”

“I made cinnamon rolls.”
Thank heavens she doesn’t realize my level of crazy.

“They smell delicious,” she says with a grin. She sets her coffee down on the counter behind her and takes a few steps closer to me.

I grip the edge of the counter to keep from reaching out to her. She brushes my arm as she reaches beside me into the cabinet for a few plates. “Want me to pour you a glass of milk?” she offers in a husky voice near my ear that makes me wish she was asking if I want something else.

“I’d love one,” I return in a voice just as husky.

She moves toward the fridge, and I turn to add the icing to the cinnamon rolls. I put one on each of the plates she left near the stove and carry them to the table, making sure to put them perpendicular to one another rather than across the table from each other like last night.

She smiles at me as she carries in the glasses of milk but frowns when she looks down at the plates. I immediately think she’s not happy with the proximity of our plates. “Let me guess? You plan on eating that with your hand?” She laughs and shakes her head, turning toward the kitchen to grab forks.

She hands one over to me, and I make sure my fingers brush hers as I take it. She doesn’t jerk away this time and her hand actually lingers near mine.

I clear my throat again. I seem to do that a lot around her.

“The snow has stopped, for now,” I say as I cut into the soft pastry and take a bite.

She lowers her head and nods, clearly not happy with the news, a huge change from her reaction to being snowed in yesterday. Interesting.

My fingers tingle with the urge to reach out and tilt her chin up so she can’t hide her eyes. “What’s that look for?” I ask trying to sound as nonchalant as possible and pop a bite in my mouth before I say something, even more, ridiculous.

She fiddles with her breakfast but doesn’t take a bite. She gives a sad laugh and raises her eyes to mine. “You sure you want an invite to my pity party?”

I grin back at her. “I don’t mind listening if you want to talk or work through some shit.” I shrug my shoulders and take another bite.
Just don’t expect me to share.

“Remember you asked for it.” She smiles.

I love her smile and how it makes her eyes close slightly.

“I told you last night I found my ex with my best friend.” I nod. “I just went home and packed all of my things and left. I haven’t even spoken to them since.”

I narrow my eyes at her. “You didn’t confront them?”

“Not really my style. There was nothing to say. No way to confuse what I saw, so I just left Trent at the bar inside my best friend, packed my stuff and left.”

“You have more control than I do.” I set my fork down on my empty plate and take a sip of the cold milk she brought me.

“I think I was in shock.”

“Do you plan to go back?”

“Not a chance and that’s the problem. I have no plans. Nowhere to live and no job prospects. I didn’t really think any of it through. I just knew I had to get away.” She holds her mouth in a straight line.

“What did you do back in Great Falls?” I finish my milk and set the empty glass back on the table.

“The last three months I’ve been at Trent’s bar, waitressing and bartending. Before that, I worked as an administrative assistant for the president of a bank.” I raise my eyes to her.

“You left a position at a bank to work at a bar?” Surely there’s more to it than that.

“Trent and Keira both convinced me to come work at the bar. He never said it in so many words, but he acted like he was afraid for me to be alone with my boss.” She finally takes a bite of her breakfast

“Was he afraid he’d hurt you?” I wouldn’t want my girl around a creep either.

She chuckles. “Nothing like that. He was handsome, super successful, and flirty. I think he was afraid I’d leave him and end up with my boss.” She grins like the idea, even now after being cheated on, is utterly absurd.

Loyal to a fault it seems.

“What about college?” I wait while she swallows her food and takes a sip of milk.

“That’s an even longer story and an even bigger pity party.” I raise my eyebrow to her. “I won’t go into all of the details, but I had to leave college my last semester. I never went back.”

“What degree were you working on?” Only a semester left, and this shithead of a boyfriend of hers didn’t encourage her to go back?

“General business,” she answers before taking another bite of her food.

I bite my tongue to keep from telling her about the position that’s opening up soon at my job. Not that I won’t mention it later, but I don’t know if this woman is even going to want to see me once I’m able to pull her car out of the ditch, more importantly, I don’t know if I’ll want to be with her once I’ve returned to reality.

Why are you even considering any type of future? You’re not going back.

“Where were you heading?”

“I was thinking of going to Spokane. Figured the city is big enough and there’d be more options for work.” She finishes off her last bite and washes it away with her milk.

“I bet it all works out in the end.” I stand and take her plate.

She follows me into the kitchen and just like last night we wash and put away the dishes.

“Dominos?” I ask as we head out of the kitchen.

“Sounds good.” She settles on the couch as I head over to the cabinet that, to my surprise yesterday, is loaded with all sorts of bad weather games, cards, and miscellaneous forms of entertainment.

My eyes once again are drawn to the drawer with the pills and gun, and for the first time since arriving at my plan to off myself, I feel a twinge of shame and if I'm honest a small hint of hope.

After a couple hours of dominos, we’ve both grown bored of the game.

I begin to put them away, and she yawns. “I think I’m going to go up and take a nap. Get all the rest in I can before having to try to start my life over once you kick me out of here.” She winks at me and stands.

“Okay. I should probably hit the gym anyways.”

She glares at me. “You have a gym?”

I smile at her. “The room is connected to the master upstairs. You wanna see it?”

“See it? Do you have a treadmill?” I grin at her.

“Wouldn’t be a home gym without one would it? Come on I’ll give you the tour.” I leave the box of dominos on the coffee table and head up the stairs.

She follows close behind, and I can feel the vibrations of excitement rolling off of her. Who would have known she’d get so animated over workout equipment.

I push the door to my room open and angle my arm toward the open door of the workout room. I don’t bother with the lights in the bedroom since so much light is coming in from the other room. I walk behind her as she makes her way to the doorway and don’t even try to resist looking down at the pajamas she never bothered to change out of. I’d love to see that ass bouncing as she runs on my treadmill.

“This is amazing,” she says. “I can’t remember the last time I went three days without working out. Would you mind if I use…” She turns her body, not realizing how close behind her I am and runs right into my chest.

Her warm hand is against my bare skin, and we both groan at the same time. I smile at her and begin to step away but when her eyes drop to my lips, and she begins to run her tongue over hers, I lose all power.

“London,” I whisper, my mouth less than an inch away from hers. “Tell me to stop.”

I’m sober. I haven’t slept with another woman sober since Savannah. I’ve always wanted, needed, the booze to make it through.

She shakes her head slightly, and my lips crash against hers. My tongue darts out and coerces her to part her lips, allowing me to sweep my tongue into her mouth. Hot, heavenly bliss. I moan into her mouth as her tongue battles mine and pull her closer to my body.

“Kadin,” she pants against my lips and pushes gently on my chest.

I open my eyes and peer down at her. I’m about to voice my opinions about the hot and cold routine, but she begins to speak. “I’m all kinds of fucked up right now. I’m not expecting anything from you, but you have to know I can’t do any of the heart shit.”

I know what she means, and I’m on board with that but I look down, and her hand is on my pec, right over the same muscle she’s talking about. It beats louder, harder than it has in some time. I refuse to analyze it right now. She’s being honest and telling me she doesn’t want more than this. It can’t be more than sex. It stings for some reason, another thing I don’t want to address right now, not when my cock is throbbing in my pants and my mouth waters at the notion that I may be able to taste her sweet pussy.

“Don’t worry about any of that shit sweetheart. I love my wife with every piece of my heart. There’s not room for anyone else.” She flinches slightly but then nods her head in understanding.

The hand over my heart slowly glides down my stomach, the light touch of her fingers tickling the thin layer of hair covering my abs. She runs the tip of her finger just barely an inch into the waist of my jeans. I close my eyes and let my arms hang, giving her full control of the situation.

I feel her hot breath against my nipple just before she licks then bites it.

“Fuck,” I hiss, and my hips jut forward unprovoked.

She keeps her mouth locked on me as she unbuttons my jeans and begins to lower the zipper, the seductive rasp of it lowering the only sound in the room.

I clasp her hands before she can pull me out. I’m quickly losing control, and I’d rather not fuck her against the wall or the floor. I tug her hands and walk us closer to the bed.

I reach for the bottom hem of her tank top and pull it up only slightly so I can run my hands over her flat stomach, my thumbs grazing the underside of each of her breasts. She whimpers and lowers her hands back to my jeans, pushing them off my hips.

“Commando?” she looks down and giggles.

I raise my hands slightly higher and sweep my thumbs over her puckered nipples. Tired of having to compete with the fabric covering her, I pull her tank top off and simultaneously step out of the jeans pooled at my feet.

I take a step back and look at my large hands. They can barely handle the size of her perfect tits.

“They’re too big,” she says shyly.

“They’re fucking perfect,” I praise her lowering my mouth to one breast while manipulating the other with my hand.

I love the feel of her hand in my hair as she grabs a handful. Her body is in turmoil which is evident by her tugging me away one second and pulling me closer the next.

I release her nipple with a pop and work my mouth up her breast, over her shoulder, and up her neck. I close my eyes losing focus on her skin and lean my head back when her hand wraps around my cock.

Goddamn!
The sensation difference without being drunk is more than drastic.

I drop my hands back to my sides as she looks down. We both watch as her hands slowly pump me from base to tip, forcing the slit to glisten with precome.

Slowly she sinks to her knees.
Did I just win the fucking lotto?

She looks up at me, her green eyes catching the limited light from the open gym door. Opening her mouth slowly, she reaches her tongue out and takes the first hot swipe of the most delicate skin a man possesses, right under the head.

I touch her cheek gently with my hand. “Suck it slow,” I command.

My balls draw up the second her pouty lips wrap around the head. The heat, unlike anything I’ve ever felt before, engulfs me as she takes me sinfully slow to the back of her throat. She manages to get about two-thirds of my length inside before she gags slightly and backs off, only to take a breath and do it again.

I groan loudly and grasp a handful of her hair, tugging gently to keep her from moving too fast. “Go slow.” The words sound more like a plea than a command at this point. She either can’t go slow or is flat out refusing as she ignores my gentle hand in her hair and continues to run her mouth roughly over my length.

I don’t know how the rest of her stay is going to go, and I refuse to let today end without my mouth on her. Blowing down her throat is the very last thing I want to do right now but if I continue to let her have all of the control the result is imminent.
