“I want my daughter to be proud of me and look up to me. I think early on in my pregnancy I realized that to be the mom I want to be, I had to change my life, and that’s what I’m doing.”

Chapter 58

“Daddy, something’s wrong.”

“What do you mean?”

“I’m not feeling good.”

“Are you saying Dr. McNasty needs to perform an examination?”

“Well, Dr. McNasty is always welcome, but I’m not joking. I haven’t been feeling well.”

“Okay, what’s wrong?”

“I don’t know. I’ve gotten sick the last couple of days. I thought it was something I ate. But now other things feel strange.”

“I can assure you, Dr. McNasty’s beef is one hundred percent USDA prime steak,” Daddy said, smiling. “What else doesn’t feel right, Baby Doll?”

“My titties are sore. I think you were too rough with them last night.”

“I wasn’t rough with them.”

“Yes, you were. I said so. I’m cramping, too. Like I’m getting my period, you know?”

“Well, not exactly, but I can imagine…”

“Daddy, be serious…”

“I am being serious! Stand up for me, okay?”

Mia stood, and Daddy sat on the edge of the bed and pulled her over so she stood between his legs. He put his hands over her kidneys, and pushed in.

“Does it hurt there?”

“No, not really.”

“How about there?” He had moved his hands so that they were over her abdomen, around her navel.

“Yeah, kinda.”

“When was the last time you got your period?”

“I don’t remember, but it is always on time.”

“Are you using birth control?”

“I thought you were snipped.”

“Does that mean no?”

“Well, Daddy…”

Daddy hopped into his truck and cruised to the all-night drug store. His internal radar went off. He started looking around more closely but didn’t see anything out of the ordinary, or anyone taking an unusual interest in him, so he dismissed it.

He walked the aisles, getting what he needed. He got more than was necessary, and different ones, so in case he was right he could check the conclusions of each and compare.

Daddy paid special attention going home, back-tracked, and retraced in order to spot a tail, but still didn’t see anything. Still, a nagging feeling.

Am I paranoid?
he asked himself, living on the run will do it to you. He decided he was being overly cautious and slipped into the driveway.

Flynn sat down the street in a darkened city surveillance van, smoking a cigarette, watching quietly.

Mia was still waiting on the bed where he left her.

“What did you get me?”

“Come on, Baby Doll. Into the bathroom. Take your panties down and sit on the toilet. I want you to pee on this for me.”

“Ohh…pee games. I like pee games, Daddy.”

“I know you do. Wait until I get the boxes open and pee on all three, okay?”

“Okay, hurry up because now I’ve got to go.”

“Okay, go ahead.”

Daddy held each under her warm stream. The warmth of the urine splashed across his fingers. He finished filling up each reservoir on each home pregnancy test kit, and set them aside. Then he washed his hands. Mia rearranged herself on the toilet, and spread her legs up and out, exposing her long thin legs, beautiful smooth pussy and ass. Which was completely too much visual input for Daddy.

Later, lying in bed after another marathon sex episode, Mia was contentedly laying in his arms, playing with the hair on Daddy’s chest.

“Daddy? Can I ask you something?”

“Yes, Baby Doll.”

“I already know the answer, so don’t get all cranky, okay? But I want you to tell me, really tell me. I know you don’t like talking about it, or saying it, but it matters to me.”

“Okay, what is it?”

“Daddy, do you love me?”

Daddy sat up in bed, holding Mia out at arm’s reach, looking deep in her eyes.

“I love you more than any other women I’ve ever known. And more than any other person on this earth, except my son.”

“I know that Daddy. But I wanted to hear it, okay?”

“Okay. Now you have. Oh shit! Wait a minute. I forgot.”

Daddy got up out of bed naked and walked into the bathroom and got the three home pregnancy test kits. Mia liked looking at his cock swinging, knowing her juices were all over it. He walked back into the bedroom, and sat down on the bed.

“What do they say?”

“All three say you’re pregnant, Baby Doll. You’re going to be a mother.”

They sat there, looking at each other, as the importance of the news sank into each one differently.

“Let me see that,” said Mia, taking them out of Daddy’s hand. Mia put them down on the bed, then crawled into Daddy’s lap, so they were facing each other.

“It’s a part of me and you, Daddy, it’s us…” a tear came down her face. “What do you want to do?”

“I know. I’m too old, Baby Doll. You should be with a better man,” Daddy said, softly.

“A better man? You are the ONLY man, I will EVER be with in this life. If you don’t want it, then we should do…something, while we can.”

“I didn’t say that! Don’t put words in my mouth.”

“So then, you do want to have a baby with me,” said Mia, smiling coyly, “I knew you did…”

Mia started laughing, looking at Daddy.

“I have Daddy’s baby/I have Daddy’s baby,” she sing-songed.

“Even death is not to be feared by one who has lived wisely.”

Chapter 59

Flynn texted the address of Mia’s safe house to DOP, then sat back waiting for news.
He had better not fuck this up,
he thought. He’d keep out of sight watching just in case.

DOP’s cell phone went off, and he looked at the address.

“Yo! Bros, gather round. We’s got a job to do.” The homies stood around DOP all waiting for orders. “Now, this here’s the way this has got to go down. We’s gonna do a grab of some white bitch and cracker. No one is to touch the bitch, understands? No one. The honky we can have fun with.”

DOP’s crew looked at each other and shrugged. Their expressions said ‘what’s the big deal?’

“Why can’t we fuck the bitch?”

“Cause I said so, stupid ass nigga. Don’t touch her. Don’t even so much as feel her titties, you feeling me?”

“Yeah, yeah.” What was the point of stealing a white bitch if they couldn’t all take turns fucking her?

“What we gonna do with ‘em?”

“We take ‘em to the old meat packing plant. So the plan is, we’s get in, snatch ‘em, put them both in the trunk and take ‘em there. We can fuck up the whitebread though. Maybe we have fun and take turns with the baseball bat.”

This appeased them somewhat.

Daddy heard the bells tinkling over his head. Which meant someone was coming up the stairs. He had attached a tripwire on the stairs and knew he had seconds to act.

“Run and hide, Baby Doll,” he said, as he pushed Mia off the bed. She looked at Daddy with big eyes. “Run! Just like we talked about.”

He heard voices slamming up against the door. He had changed out the locks as well as put four-inch screws holding the lock in place in the door jam. They weren’t going to kick that door open anytime soon. He heard black voices, and he was vaguely surprised he wasn’t facing a Police SWAT team. The shotgun was loaded, so he started putting extra shells in his pocket.

Daddy moved to a defensive position, on the floor, facing the door. It wouldn’t hold much longer. He racked the shotgun, to let them know he wasn’t playing. The crowbar on the lock stopped momentarily as this new information got processed by even the dimmest lights outside the door. The first person through that door was going to die tonight.

The door blew inward, and Daddy let loose with the first round of buckshot, blowing a monster of a guy backwards. He rolled over to the other side of the door, just as shots from a .45 blew up the position where he had been moments before.

He took down the second shooter. The muzzle blast from the shotgun revealed his position, so he had to move again.

He moved straight at them. Racking a load, and not even bothering to aim, he let loose. Racked another, and fired. Racked another and fired. Screams and body parts were all he could see in the momentary strobe light of the muzzle blasts.

Daddy was outnumbered, and he knew it. He was running out of ammo and didn’t have time to reload. He wasn’t going to win this.

It was time to die well.

I’m sorry, Baby, I did what I could,
he thought, as he rammed the barrel of the shotgun into an attacker’s throat, fired, and blew a hole all the way through one throat, and took out another attacker behind him.

“Stand Back!” DOP yelled. His boy jogged to the left, and fired the taser into Daddy’s chest. Daddy went down, jerking on the floor.

“Go get de bitch,” DOP said, to the only man left standing. DOP looked down at the guy who took out five of the six soldiers he brought with him.

“Youse gonna pay, cracker, youse gonna die hard. Dem boys were my homies.”

DOP kept the juice flowing. DOP couldn’t believe the mayhem he saw around him. It looked like Beirut. Bodies were everywhere and none of them breathing. DOP, wisely, remained in back of his troops as the leader or he would have joined the others, he had no doubt.

DOP heard another gun off in another room, the five consecutive shots, then silence. Andre The Giant, brought in a kicking and screaming Mia, by the hair.

“Dis little bitch was armed too,” he said, unbelievingly, like he didn’t expect white people to fight back.

“Daddy!” Mia threw herself towards Daddy on the floor.

“Don’t fight, Baby Doll. Just go with them. They won’t hurt you. I’ll be coming for you.”

“Get dat bitch out of here. Tape her mouth and hands. Remember what I said. No touching the bitch.” DOP said.

The cell phone rang then.

“Wha?” DOP listened. “No, we got da bitch.” Pause “No, she ain’t hurt. You didn’t tell me this cracker was trained. I lost five of my boys tonight, you lying pig.”

DOP walked over to Daddy as he was talking and raised his boot to bring it down on the side of Daddy’s head, knocking him out. Instead, Daddy reached up, grabbed his foot, and twisted it, rolling to the side as he did. DOP dropped the cell phone and had just enough time to put the juice back on the taser, stopping the assault.

“Mothafucka…”

Daddy had just enough time to think,
I hope I die well,
before his lights went out.

Flynn snapped the cell phone shut and pondered his next move. He was secretly glad he hadn’t gone up against The Nameless Guy. It wasn’t that he was afraid, but he had taken enough beatings in his life to know when to step aside.

The place was going to be a mess. Already he heard units responding. The best course of action was to stay the fuck out of it and get the hell out of here. It will look like a drug hit gone wrong.

Five dead, Jesus Christ,
he thought,
the shit is really going to hit the fan.
Flynn admitted to himself he had a grudging admiration and respect for the man. Whoever he was, he wasn’t a shitbag. He asked for none of this. He was just trying to protect the woman he loved. Flynn wondered what it was like to have a love so great, so powerful, that your very own life is inconsequential. A love so powerful you would be willing to kill anyone who threatened it. He was a worthy adversary and a man of honor, deserving of respect.

Time to tell William Prescott his daughter-in-law would be joining them for a midnight snack.

Chapter 60

Mia was slapped a couple of times by Andre The Giant, to make her shut up, then duct-taped. Multiple times around the mouth, and her arms, wrists, and ankles.

Mia was picked up, as though she weighed nothing, and put into the trunk of DOP’s Caddy. There was plenty of room for her back there, and The Giant, was fairly gentle in putting her in.

Daddy was carried down next, duct taped, and put in beside her. Then DOP and Andre calmly drove away from the scene of the crime before the police arrived. Since this wasn’t the best of neighborhoods, chances were small that they would be pulled over for “driving while black” in this part of town.

DOP and Andre hopped on the freeway without trouble and drove south. They exited the freeway, and made a right-hand turn into the old meat-packing plant. DOP drove in and told Andre to put the cracker in the room they prepared. So far, so good. Now to call Flynn and arrange the transfer.

“Yo? Come get the bitch,” was all DOP said and disconnected. DOP could hear muffled shouts behind the duct-tape, as Mia kicked the inside of the trunk. He leaned against the trunk, unconcerned.

Soon enough, a shabby plumbing van pulled into the meat-packing plant side entrance. Flynn, in street clothes, jumped out.

“How’d it go?”

“Like we discussed. Dat boy of yours took out five of my brothers. You could have warned me.”

“Yeah? And what would that have sounded like? Be careful of the fat, old, white guy. He’ll probably kick your ass and take out five of the brothers? Something like that?”

“He gonna pay, you know dat, right?”

“Did you harm the girl?”

“Not a single hair on her pretty head.”

“Let me see her.” Flynn put on a black ski mask.

DOP popped the trunk. Mia wide-eyed and looking ready to tear someone’s head off, stared defiantly back.

“She a wild cat, dat one.”

“Get her out. Cut her loose.”

DOP reached in with a Spyder knife and cut her leg restraints off. Then cut the ones binding her arms. He left the wrist restraints in place, and lifted her out of the trunk.

Flynn grabbed her upper arm tightly and started leading her toward the van. Mia dug her heels in and started twisting out of his grasp. DOP looked on in amusement.

Flynn stopped, looked at her then said very softly,

“Mia, I can take you hard, or take you easy. But you’re going home. I won’t hurt you. But if you keep fighting me, I’ll knock you out cold with a shot.” He lifted up a syringe.

“Your choice.”

Mia looked at him with pleading eyes, and said something against her gag. Flynn imagined the words as ‘Please, don’t’.

“I don’t have a choice, Mia,” was all he said.

Flynn pulled up in front of Prescott Jr’s. house, Mia’s old home. The interior lights were on. He looked up and down the street, but all was quiet. He’d finish this job and then he was through with these rich scumbags.

He was disgusted with himself for what he was doing and thought about how far he had sunk as a human being. At least, the Nameless Guy had been protecting his woman.

What was he doing? But delivering her back to the same hell she almost escaped from. Flynn rolled down the window and spat to get the bad taste out of his mouth.

Flynn got out, opened the back of the van, and took Mia out. Once she saw the house she started whipping her head back and forth. ‘Oh no’, she was trying to say. Flynn brought his mouth close to her ear.

“Walk, or I’ll carry you.”

Mia stopped struggling. Flynn watched as resolve came into her eyes. She straightened her shoulders, picked her chin up, and nodded her head. ’I’m ready’, her eyes said.

Flynn looked at her with admiration. He could see why the Nameless Guy was ready to die for her. She was walking willingly, head up, towards her doom. She wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction of seeing her flinch. He almost let her go, right then. Instead, he fought the urge, and walked up the path to the door.

The door opened instantly. Jeffery Prescott was there to greet them.

“Mia! I missed you!” he said.

Flynn brought her in. William Prescott was at the dining room table, drinking a scotch.

“Good work…”

“No names!” Flynn said before he could finish his sentence. “We’re even. Don’t call me again. I want no part of this.”

“Oh, you’re in deep now, I’m afraid,” said William Prescott, calmly. “We own you. Don’t you ever forget it. But you did a good job tonight, and I’m sure Jeff will be very grateful when he becomes Mayor. I’m thinking someone like you could be very handy as Police Commissioner. Of course, you’ll have to come up through the ranks, but I think we’ll be able to speed your career along.”

“I don’t think you heard me. I’m not interested.”

“I don’t think you heard me, Officer
Flynn
,” saying his name for Mia’s sake.

Flynn walked over and pushed one of the bedroom doors open. The mirrors were set up around the handcuffs hanging from the ceiling. Various paddles and whips were scattered about the room on tables. On one side, he saw an electric cattle prod. Another had a ping-pong paddle with small tacks embedded point side out.

“Would you like to stay and watch, Officer Flynn? Beating a woman is an acquired taste. However, once experienced it is very difficult to go back to plain Jane sex,” said William Prescott. “I personally like to beat them until they are bloody. I love seeing blood trickle between their legs. Jeff here, is more of a belt kind of guy. He enjoys more sublime pleasures.”

“You are both sick fucks.”

Jeffery Prescott grabbed Mia by the hair and hauled her into the room, lifting her hands into the cuffs. The twisted pleasure in his eyes said he couldn’t wait to get started. He ripped her dress off and let her swing naked in front of Flynn. Mia’s eyes were looking right at him, resigned to her fate.

Flynn thought about shooting them both, right then and there. He could actually see it in his mind’s eye. He could see the blood and brains blowing out the back of their heads. If he did he might even be able to welcome himself back to the human race.

William Prescott just looked at him, like he knew exactly what was going through his mind. He smiled slightly.

Sergeant Flynn, a man lost in his own moral abyss, turned and walked out the door. He got into the van, sickened with himself and flipped open the cell phone.

“Yeah?”

“Don’t touch the white bread. Leave him for me.”

“Well, the brothers are already softening him up with a baseball bat. He got a lot to answer fo.”

Flynn could hear the muffled ‘whumps’ as the bat hit soft flesh in the background.

“He a tough fucker, I give him dat.”

“No more fun. Stop it now.”

DOP could be heard speaking away from the phone.

“Yo, yo! Stop fo a minute,” then speaking back to Flynn, “I can’t guarantee how long we be able to not wail on this boy, you feel me?”

“I’m on my way.”

The least he could do, Flynn thought, was let him die like a man and not beaten like a piece of meat at the hands of animals.
