“You could say that,” Jeremy said, taking a step back and pulling my arms from around his neck.

I suddenly had a feeling that there was more.

“Do you love me, sugar?” he asked, a nervous expression on his face.

I hated seeing him look so unsure. I placed my hands on his cheeks and looked directly in his eyes. “More than life itself, baby. Only ever you.”

“So you won’t have any problem marrying me?”

What?

“What?”

Right there in the middle of the airport, in front of all of our friends and family, Jeremy dropped down on one knee and pulled a dark blue velvet box from the pocket of his jeans. He lifted the lid to reveal the most beautiful three-stone, oval-cut diamond ring I’d ever seen.

“This is something we should have done a long time ago, sugar. This has been seven years in the making…
at least.
I don’t want to wait another day without you as my wife. We have everyone we love with us right now. Marry me, Savannah.”

I turned to see my mom and Kathy were both in tears as they looked at us with huge smiles on their faces. Everyone had known. Everyone I ever loved was there with me, standing by me, as I prepared to make the biggest decision of my life. Jeremy couldn’t have planned a better proposal.

It was perfect.

He was perfect.

And I couldn’t wait to start my life with him.

I got down on my knees right in front of him and wrapped him in a tight hug. “Yes,” I whispered into his neck, drenching the collar of his shirt in tears. “It’s always been you, Jeremy,” I said as I pulled back and looked into
m
y fiancé’s eyes. “Only ever you.”

The End

The longer I’ve been a part of the writing community, the more the list of people I need to thank grows. I absolutely LOVE that.

First and foremost, I have to thank my family. My poor, neglected husband and who supports me day in and day out. Thank you for not complaining—much—when I glue myself to the computer and heavy-sigh at you every time you try to start a conversation while I’m writing. I love you so much, babe! And I have to thank my son for giving me wonderful blackmail-worthy material that I can put into my books and show to future girlfriends for years to come. *Insert evil laugh here*

To some of the best damn friends I could ever ask for: Shea Hoke, Shey (Shannon) Owens, Lynda Ybarra, Amanda Cantu, and Crystal Cantu. I love you ladies so hard, it’s not even funny! To L.B. Simmons, Kathryn Perez, Erin Noelle, Syreeta Jennings, Emmy Montes, and Carey Heywood, getting to know you ladies has been absolutely amazing. I adore each and every one of you and am so glad I can call you friends.

Thank you so much to Katherine Peters at Love Words & Books Blog. You’ve been with me from book one and I appreciate your support more than you’ll ever know.

To my editor, Jovana Shirley, and cover artist, Meredith Blair: You ladies are fabulous! Thank you for sticking with me through constant emails and freak-outs.

And last, but surely not least, I need to say a special thank-you to every one of my readers out there. It’s because of you that I keep writing. The kind messages I receive from you push me to be the best writer I can be. As long as I have my readers at my back, I’ll never stop.

Love to all, and thank you a hundred times over.

~Jess

Jessica was born and raised in Texas—where she’ll stay because she claims the cost of living in Texas excuses the god-awful weather. She is first and foremost a wife and mother. Because of those two things, she’s also a self proclaimed wino and coffee addict.

She’s always been and avid lover of all types of books, but romances are her main favorites.

Jessica’s husband likes to say reading is her obsession, but she likes to call it her passion…there’s a difference.
