Sam was walking towards her; his eyes locked on hers. She straightened against the counter, looking at him with her heart in her eyes, as she waited for him to come closer. He did, and stopped so close to her that Serena could see the golden flecks in his eyes. 

“Miss me?” he asked, looking into her eyes intently.

Serena shook her head; then burst out laughing when Sam grabbed her in his arms and twirled her around and around.
